Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Changing executors

My mother is the executor of my grandmother's will and left in charge of 200 acres of land belonging to her and 2 siblings. She purchased an adjoining 50 acres from another family member years ago but, had to sell it to pay off the debts and funeral expenses. Her siblings are now wanting to remove her as executor because they say that was illegal because the property was never surveyed and divided. Can this be done?

Re: Changing executors

There are reasons that an Executor can be removed, but I have never heard of failing to have a piece of property surveyed as one of them. Consult with a local attorney.

Your mother needs to review the relevant details, including the will and property deeds, with an attorney.
