Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Deceased Mother's distribution of assests

My mother died 10-02. My sister had P.O.A. on all of her assests. I, as the senior heir, have not been contacted concerning any distribution of assests to date. I was told that my mother had no will. I find this hard to believe.

I believe that my mother had quite a lot of money put away and now ''Who knows where''.

Do I have any way to recover any part of my mother's assests as my half of the estate?

If yes who and how?

Re: Deceased Mother's distribution of assests

You first need to find a will, if one was created, and you have to make sure it is a valid will. If there is no will, then the state in which your mother passed away will decide on the disposition of the estate property.
