Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Which to Probate 1st?

Granmother died with ''possible'' Will and substantial estate. Two weeks later, only heir/next of kin (my father passed away), no will, no estate, NOTHING. Family is informing me that dad's estate must be probated ''before'' grandmother's estate can be probabted. This does not sound correct to me.

There's nothing to prevent your fathers estate from being probated first, would need more info about the legal issues to discuss further.
