Taking Care Of an Adult

yes i'm taking care of a friend and he is 73 years old. i'm the only one that he lets take care of his business. he would like to put in writing that he wants me over everything if anything where to happen to him.he also would like to have some papers file at the local court house free. so i need your help and advice thank you

He likely needs to do a will and power of attorney (I need far more detail than what you posted). He will need to hire a lawyer. If he contacts my office we can assist him. It is not free, but it's not all that expensive.

Because it is likely that such a document could be challenged if you are involved in anyway, it is very important that you do not go to the lawyer with him. He has to take the lead.
