Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia

My employer fired me while i was under the doctors care

I have had a recurring injury to my back which I hurt on the job multiple times, and have been going to the companys doctor for. I was in so put pain that I lost track of returning to work by one day and they knew that out of the 2 yrs this was something I had never done before. They fired me even though the same day I gave them another form the doctor stating that he was treating me for back pain and not to lift anything over 51 pounds. and every since I hurt my back I have felt like I have been harrased even told to tell the doctor to release me that I have been on light duty to long or even dont I think I need to find another job doing something else .Thanks would like to know your point of view.

Assuming the claim has been accepted as compensable and that you have continued to treat without a break in treatment in excess of one year, it is my opinion that your worker's compensation claim is still viable. To venture much further in terms of legal opinion would require a full discussion regarding the facts surrounding the injuries you have sustained, and the course of treatment you have received.
