Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia

My employer refuse to pay me!

I am a freelance web designer, and I have done some work for a web design company we had a signed contract and everything, and they have given me two checks and they both have bounced, and they keep giving me excuse after excuse. What can I do?

Depending on the amount, you could either go to small claims court (Magistrates Court) or Superior Court. There are forms on the Fulton County website if you decide to do it your self. If you need help I or another attorney that post here would be happy to help you for a fee.

This is not a workers' comp question, it is a collection question. Your recourse is to sue the designer. Magistrate Court may be the fastest, cheapest way to go.

The problem, of course, even if you win, how do you collect.

Bouncing checks is a criminal offense so you may want to consider taking out a warrant.
