Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia

mental stress

i have been on my job 3 months now,i allready have mental problems 1 employee who is allready a asst. mgr has continued to harras me daily i took off work today went to see a mental health dr. i told him i was tired and scared,about the next time i was harrased, i may lose control, this mgr has been written up and many complaints about her have been sent to HR, I NEED SOME RELIEF, the dr .told me he wanted to lock me up, ga. doesnt seem to have a workers comp law, or benifit for stress, or harrasment,HR SAYS THEY STILL INVESTIGATING, BUT I NOW AM AFRAID TO GO BACK TO WORK, CAN SOME 1 PLEASE HELP

Regrettably, Georgia's workers' compensation law does not require your employer to provide you treatment for mental health problems, unless the mental health problems arose from a physical injury.

If you believe the harassment is on the basis of sex, race, religion, or national origin, you may have a Title VII action and should consult with an employment law attorney.
