Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia

i have a repetitive motion injury in both hands(carpal tunnel) from work(assembly line automtive industry) and was sent to a workmans comp dr that told me surgery is not reccommended because it would not help due to the nature of my job. What is my employer responsibility to me now? Do they have to change my change my job or can they just fire me with a work related injury?

Since you injury is long term and serious you need to (1) get a second opinion from your OWN doctor, and (2) get a workers compensation lawyer.
