Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia

Tarsal Tunnel, nerve damage

I had a crush injury in Aug 06. A claim has been filed with the Georgia State Board of Workers COmpensation. I feel like I am being pushed to settle with like 75k. I am 28. I've been back on full duty for a yr, but I have been in constinent pain. The work comp doctor refused to take me out of work so I've been here waiting it out. BCuz if I quit, I lose.

Anyway, isn't it possible for me to still have an IR even if I've been working? I will have to go through many surguries. They want me to settle and resign, but I dont feel that this amount is enough, because I cannot stand on my feet for long periods of time. Do you have any suggestions other than to consult an attorney? Can you give me a little advise?

As a nurse attorney, the only advice that I can give someone who does not wish to employ an attorney for a work comp case is that you are very likely going to regret your decision later. The longer you wait to select and begin working with an attorney, the less likely you are to benefit from legal counsel.
