Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia

workers comp confidentiality

My husband has a personal injury case from 2004. He fell at work in 2007 and has a wc laim. The WC insurance carrier attorney shared medical records with personal injury defense attorney that is now being included as impeaching evidence in my husbands personal injury case. Is it lawful to share workers compensation records including medical records without permission from the person who was injured.

Re: workers comp confidentiality

That is an issue your husband should discuss with his lawyer. No one here knows the details of the ongoing case.
