Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ghana

Albert is an importer and distributor of tea. Two years ago he bought five tones of tea from Louise, at a cost of 25,000. Last Monday, Albert ordered from Louise ten tones of India tea of Standard grade at 40,000. The tea was to be packed according to the established hygienic procedures. Louise agreed to deliver the tea, but then later refused to do so. She argued that no contract existed between her and Albert because there was no precise agreement as to the quality of the tea and there were no established hygienic procedure for packing tea.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Although your question remains incomplete, the standard grades of export quality tea in India are the Tata (Tetley Brand) Tea, Lipton's (Red Label Brand) Tea or the Royal (Girnar) Tea.

Albert should enter into a fresh contract with Louise for import of tea from India to Ghana.

Merry Christmas and cheer up to usher in the New Year.
