Legal Question in Immigration Law in Hawaii

Changing visa status

I am European and currently on a 6months visitors visa. I have met some one that has the perfect job for me and he is very keen to employ me. My skills in Design and Translation would be very much appreciated in their company. I have a French Baccalaureat and a BA HONS in Product and Furniture design.

I suppose my future employer needs to fill in a I129 form as well as an H1B form. Is that wright?

If I don't go for the premium processing, how long would it take for me to be able to work.

Also,What is the process for a permanent working visa?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

LT

Re: Changing visa status

The employer can apply for H1B for you. However, at this time there is no H1B visa number available. The earliest time to file H1B is 04/01 and the earliest date you can start working is 10/01/2007.
