Early return of dependents

I am currently overseas without a power of attorney. My husband is in Iraq! I want to know the amount of weight allowed to me and my two children for return of my household goods.

Re: Early return of dependents

Your question is easily answered by contacting your husband's unit personnel administration office or his first sergeant and asking them for help with the matter. They should be able to find out all of the information you need. Do not be afraid to ask for help from his unit. They are dedicated to helping family members.

Re: Early return of dependents

The amount of weight is detemined by the the transportation office regulations. If your early return of dependents is command sponsored, you will get military transportation orders. The transportation office on post will give you the PCS briefing and weight allowances.

If you need additional assistance in obtaining a command sponsored early return, the local Staff Judge Advocate's office (Legal Assistance Division) can assist you.
