Legal Question in Personal Injury in Hawaii

Broke Tooth In Restaurant

I bit into an appetizer at a restaurant

in Maui and there was a bolt in it. It

broke my crown I just had done. The

immediately took responsibility and

are offering to pay for my tooth

repair. Do I still need an attorney?

Not sure what my case would be.

Re: Broke Tooth In Restaurant

If you are happy with the compensation offered, you probably won't need an attorney, who would usually be paid 33% of settlement amount. Attorney would be indicated where defendant refused to pay or offered only minimal compensation.

You do not need an attorney to simply negotiate a settlement with the restaurant. However, before you settle, make sure that you know the full extent of your injury and the type of dental care needed and the costs. You should also be compensated for your pain and suffering as well. Good luck to you.
