Legal Question in Personal Injury in Hawaii

Re: Need Counsel for Slip Case

I am a San Diego attorney. My client, from Colorado, slipped at a gas station on the Big Island while on vacation. I tried to settle with the carrier, but I think they feel little threat of a filing from California counsel. My research indicated there is a two-year statute; she is down to her last 6 months. I am wondering if Hawaii counsel would be interested in taking a crack at it. Modest referral fee -- I did the whole investigation. It's worth 20K, maybe more.

Call me at 1-800-282-8359 or email me at [email protected] and I will try to help you. Since you have already done the case workup, there's a good chance we can resolve this for your client prior to filing suit. You are correct that there is a s/l of 2 yrs here for BI claims.

Re: Need Counsel for Slip Case

I am a Hawaii attorney and I have been handling PI claims here for about 25 years. I would agree that the threat of a non-Hawaii attorney on a case like this is probably pretty unimpressive to the insurer. Since there is some pressure to act promptly, please email me directly with more information on the claim and I would be happy to review it. The following are some of the questions I have that you might answer for me--What happened in the S&F? What are the total medical expenses and what was the gist of the treatment she received? What footwear did she have on? How old? Any pictures of the scene, injuries, footwear? What age, size and weight is the claimant?

Aloha,
