Legal Question in Social Security Law in Hawaii

Disability Qualifaction, Area Not Found

I am a long term sufferer of Chronic Cluster headaches. After years of Neurologist and large numbers of medications it has come down to pain management. I work as an industrial maintenance mechanic and take 8 oxycontin a day in order to usually maintain control of the headache. My past employer closed the doors and after rejection by one company for employment because of the medication and fear of injury I drank a product to cover it and was hired by another. I work in constant fear of injury and that because of the pain management I will not be covered. My question is, does a person on pain management for chronic pain qualify for disability ?. if so what steps must I take in order to receive it ?.

Re: Disability Qualifaction, Area Not Found

If you are able to continue working, you are not "disabled". If you are hiding the fact that you are under severe medication you might still qualify. Does your employer know of your condition? More facts are needed to render any opinion.
