Legal Question in Traffic Law in Hawaii

driving without insurance/ good faith

I was cited for no insurance. I obtained a policy immediately after being cited but sold the car prior to judgement. Do I need to provide proof of an active policy in order to avoid license suspension despite the fact I no longer drive or own a vechicle. I have documentation for a policy immediately after the said offense.

Re: driving without insurance/ good faith

You need to show proof of an active 6 month policy on the date of your court appearance to avoid a license suspension. If the car was not registered to you, you can get a dismissal for good faith.
