Legal Question in Workers Comp in Hawaii

I suffered a seizure on jobsite. Can I sue my employer?

I was injured on a jobsite I later found out I was not certified to be at. A later EEG showed I had suffered a seizure.Dr. cannot determined if it was from the heat or if I was exposed to something toxic.I want to know if I can sue my employer for their negligence and if there is an impairment rating for having the seizure. This was the only time I had ever had a seizure. Thank you.

In Hawaii you are typically not able to sue your employer for negligence. There are some exceptions to this general rule, however.

You are, of course, entitled to worker's compensation benefits which include payments for your medical bills and wage loss as well as payment for your permanent disability.
