Legal Question in Criminal Law in Idaho

Mail harassment/fraud

My sister and I were annoyed with our upstairs neighbor who was pretty uptight about us using 2 parking spaces in front of our apartment instead of just one. She called our landlord more than once to complain. We came up with the idea to sign her up for magazine subscriptions, marking the ''bill me'' option--we thought this would be an inconvienence to her (she would just have to mark ''cancel'' on the bill and wouldn't have to pay for any of the magazines) and would make us feel a little better about her harassing us regarding the parking space. Did we do something illegal? Is this considered harassment or mail fraud?

Thanks you any help you can provide.

Re: Mail harassment/fraud

I'm sorry, but I can't answer your question since I have

never had a mail fraud case. My gut instinct is to say that it is

mail fraud. If it isn't, it is certainly fraud.

Re: Mail harassment/fraud

Well, it could be several crimes, but is most likely fraudulent obtaining of goods and services or obtaining same under false pretences.

Whatever the crime it was a bad idea.

Creating a way to make it right with her without letting her know who it was might be one way to proceed.
