Spouse and homestead exemption waiver

Wish to mortgage home,Held as seperate property in my name only.Bank requiers waiver of homestead exemption signed by my wife. She refuses what can I do

Hello. Now unless you change lenders, and get one who will be satisfied with your wife not signing, your present deal is going to fall through.

You cannot make her sign, especially if you value your marriage. I know of no other solution in your situation

other than the art of gentle persuasion. Will be happy to discuss

this with you further and in more detail.
