Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Idaho

joint inheritance

My children's godmother died 5 days after my husband and I are separated. She did not know about the separation. Is it possible that if she left an inheritance to my husband and I (as a couple) that he could claim the money without my knowing of it? Also, can I be assured of being informed of any inheritances that my children would have? (my husband is an attorney, so he is well aware of how to "maneuver" situations)Please do not use my name if posted. Thanks

Re: joint inheritance

Hire an experienced trusts and estates lawyer to assist you. Determine if you can file a Demand for Notice in the estate proceedings which will entitle you to notice of the proceedings.
