Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois

What does the trustee do with chapter 13 payments?
I filed chapter 13 and listed my mortgage as the only debt to be paid. I made my payments to the trustee every month and now that the bancrupcy is done the mortgage company is claiming they never recieved any payments for the past 5 years. It was my understanding that the money I paid the trustee would get forwarded on to the mortgage company so I am completely confussed about where the money went. I have tried contacting the trustees office but I am getting no where. Now my house is scheduled for forclosure and I don't know what to do.
