You may first want to check the probate court records to see if the notice of claim period has passed, which in Illinois is six months after the publication of notice to creditors (after the probate estate is opened). If not, you cannot close the estate. If so, then it's a matter of your attorney giving proper notice to the heirs, scheduling a hearing, and closing the estate. All of these are based on IL law and procedure.

If your attorney is not responding to your calls, that's another issue, more properly dealt with at the Illinois ARDC.
