Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois

Bankruptcy

I cannot afford to hire an attorney and file a response to a law suit. If I don't file and am found liable what choices do I have? I have a job and make okay money but I pretty much live paycheck to paycheck. I don't own any property and have just a few credit cards. Can I file bankruptcy for the judgement alone or if I file bankruptcy do I have to claim all my debt or just the amount of the judgements. If I do this can they still try to sue me down the line years later.

Re: Bankruptcy

In bankruptcy, you must list down all debts you owe. If they get a judgment, they can garnish up to 15% of your paycheck. Most debts are dischargeable under chapter 7. Contact me for a free consultation.
