Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois

I just recently married and my husband is filing for bankruptcy. Because of us being married does he benefit from it by being married. He is keeping me in the dark about it.

Why is he keeping you "in the dark"? Not good for a stable marriage.... The BK laws permit a filing for an individual albeit married. But, he will still have to coordinate with you to fill out Schedules I & J, or you might be visiting him in the Grey Bar Hotel. So............. this is not a good thing, I think. But, Good Luck!
