Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois

In 1985 I got my liquor license and opened a store in a neighborhood. Now no other liquor stores are allowed to be opened, but I fall under the grandfather clause. In 1988, I was audited and found guilty of 18 counts of neglecting my taxes. I soon paid all of which I needed to pay and my record has been clean ever since. Three months ago, the city of Chicago stumbled upon my name and now wishes to revoke my liquor license because of my felony in 1988. Can they revoke my license and if so, what legal action should I take?

You would potentially have a defense here because of the length of time the City waited, among other things. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions. My email address is: [email protected]
