Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois

Affiliate Program Non-Payment issue

I own a webpage and on Oct 9 (2000 for all dates) I submitted an application to the MyPlay.com affiliate program. The program states that i place links on my site and that i received compensation ($1.50) for each user that clicks the links and joins the service. My site was reviewed and accepted and i placed links on my site that began to generate revenue.

On Nov 8 I received an email stating that my affiliate status was revoked for violation of their terms concerning the content of my site (violations that were apparently not spotted the first time my site was reviewed) and that all accrued dues (~$600) were not eligible for payment.

My Question(s): What are my odds of ever seeing the money that they owe me? I don't have the resources to purse them legally for very long? Can they be intimidated in to paying? I've tried threatening lawsuit, they haven't budged.

Re: Affiliate Program Non-Payment issue

Your only option is to sue Myplay.com in the local small claims court where their business is. If that court is local, you may be able to do it yourself. If not, you should hire an attorney to sue Myplay.com where it is located. If Myplay.com is not local, you can try to sue it in your local small claims court, but even if you win, you will have to enforce the judgment where Myplay.com's assets are.

I don't know what the odd of winning are. It doesn't sound like Myplay.com can easily be intimidated into paying.
