Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois

Hostile Takeover

i own and operate several wireless carrier stores and have done so for the past 15 years. our current contract is up for renewal and i have been informed that the major carrier whose exclusive services i sell will be taking over two of my locations. the reason: because they want the areas for their corporate channel. there is no monetary consideration only the option to acquire two substandard stores that will be closing from another agent and are in no comparison to what i will be giving up involuntarily. the locations in question that i operate have been properly taken care of and are exceeding the required modules to stay open. any help?

Re: Hostile Takeover

You need to have an attorney review the agreement between you and the carrier. If the agreement says what you claim it does, you may have a good case on your hands that the carrier is breaching the contract. Either way, it is a complex analysis that requires some more information to really answer. I could look at the contract and give you an opinion as to your options. If you would like to go that route, you can contact my office.
