Do I need a license or any special permits to start an electronics repair business out of my Franklin Park, Illinois home? What legal considerations should I keep in mind?

More than likely, though every municipality is different. The "legal considerations" are too numerous to mention, but I will mention a few: Premises liability, violation of restrictive and protective covenants, tax liability, whether to form a corporation/llc/sole proprietorship, local ordinances, county ordinances, traffic, parking, insurance coverage, zoning.
