Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois

I have been working for a private preschool for 11 years now and each summer they would pay me a small amount for the work I do such as updating the classroom and preregistering students and workking on the following years school plan. This year they decided not to pay me over the entire summer. I have already read and signed the contract which did not state these terms. Could I draw unemployment on them?

Second question: I work part time at a tanning salon also and I was involded in a motorcylce aciident wich laid me up for a few months. I have released by my doctor to go back to work so I called my boss and told him and he said he had no extra hours for me that he had hired someone else in my spot but when there is an opening he would give me a call, that has been over 5 months now. I still have keys to the building and my name is still on the payroll sheet. I call and check in from time to time to see if he is ready for me to return to work but each time he tells me he has no extra hours. Could I draw unemployment on him?

Any attorney will say a review of all facts, documents, etc. is required. After that, a personal consultation is needed. This is not a simple bulletin board type question. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
