Legal Question in Technology Law in Illinois

My husband is being charged with solicitation of a minor and planning to meet said minor (this took place in Joliet), and we believe it to be an online sting. They denied reducing his bail by saying he had to prove that he was in the state (originally from Texas) for work, which he was according to his boss. How many years can he face if he's convicted of the charges?

Your question is about criminal law, not computer and technology law. I suggest you re-post it under that subject.

You're probably right that this was an online sting, but that won't matter much. Sting operations are proper unless they go so far as to become entrapment. That rarely happens. Entrapment involves a lot more than just being caught in a trap.
