Legal Question in Construction Law in Illinois

To whom it may concern.

On (5/8/07) I had contracted Hoggatt Construction Inc,for their services to put a new roof on my house

due to a persistent leak over the master bathroom. Two months after the new roof was replaced, it

began to leak again in the same location. I have tried to contact Mr. Hoggatt, to explein why the

roof was leaking again but I was given no response.

I have exhausted other avenues to get in contact with Hoggatt Inc, and now trying to seek legal advice. Iwould like to know what are my options to ensure Hoggatt Inc. does everything stated

in the contract and?or refunds me the money I paid for incomplete services. What Hoggatt Inc.

had done is unacceptable and I do not wish for this company to take advantage of any more

customers. Any advice you can give me would be greatly apprecited.

Thank You.

Mrs. Jovita Ballinger.

You should send a letter by certified mail with return receipt requested (green card) and advise the builder of your problem and ask him to contact you by a certain date. If he fails to do so, contact the Illinois Attorney Generals office of Consumer Fraud. Chicago 312-814-3000; Springfield 217-782-1090
