Is an employer required to provide transportation to a job site that is 1.5 hours away from the main office? The job is steel fabrication.

Only if the collective bargaining agreement, if any, or other applicable work agreement, so provides. There are tax incentives for transportation, however, so have you talked to your employer about any?
