Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois

Cell Phone - Messages

I live in Illinois with my parents, we are from Colombia, my dad recently asked me why in the phone bill keeps showing up that there were messages sent from his phone, and received, and he's being charged $20, and he does not know how to use the whole text message thing, and his english is poor, this happened before and t-mobile said that they would take away the charges that time, but they said if it keeps happening they wont wave them away anymore, is it possible to get a record of the messages word by word from a phone company? if the messages are in proper english is for sure not my dads, that could be some proof?

Re: Cell Phone - Messages

I am convinced that the phone companies have no idea what they are doing. You probably cannot get the text message from the phone company, but you may be able to get them from your father's phone. You might also consider trying to find out who the messages are being sent to and check those phones.

Ask the phone company if it is possible for you to dis-allow texting on the phone.
