Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
I sold an item on ebay. The buyer sent me an E check which failed after being shipped, and then another which also failed.
After two weeks he still has not sent payment for the item. is this illegal?

Yes, but if they are in another state, unless it is a VERY large amount of money, the States Attorney will most likely do nothing. Check with Ebay on what there policy is on bounced checks. Otherwise all you have is a civil suit against the buyer.
