Bounced payroll Checks

My former employer gave me payroll checks that bounced and the currency that cashed them sent a detective that asked me to pay them back. Am i responsible for the check if it was a payroll check.

Re: Bounced payroll Checks

If you borrowed the money, knowing it was a loan, and signed an agreement saying you would pay back the loan, then yes, you are responsible. This of course does not stop you from pursuing pay from your former employer if you have not yet been paid this money.
