Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Credit Card Collection Agency Litigation?

I have been receiveing calls from a collection agency for a credit card that was in my husbands name. We have not been able to pay the bill and collection agency is calling stating they want a financial statement or they are taking this to litigation? If we could afford to pay the bill we would, but we are lucky if we can pay our mortgage. After paying our mortgage etc. we do not have any monies left. Can they take our house? Or what options do we have?

Re: Credit Card Collection Agency Litigation?

Yes you have options. They can't take your home but they can put a lien against your property if they were to get a judgment against you. I can help you avoid both of those. Contact me at 312-427-7400 and I will show you how to avoid this. Or visit my website at www.leedersdoyle.com
