I would like to know how many times a collection angency can call your home a day. I have a collection agency calling my home 2-8 times a day. They start at 8:00AM and the last call is around 9:00PM: When they call they never say anything. My husband and I are on social security disability.Can our checks be garasheed(SP) or can a judge order us to pay this bill out of out ss?We do not have any assets except an old car.

It sounds as if they might be violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, since these calling and then hanging up several times a day could be considered harassment. Take a look at
