Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

When my ex-girlfriend and I were together, we bought a dog for us together. I had to take out a $1000 loan in order to pay for the dog. We broke up and she moved away with the dog, taking all his papers with her and left me stuck with the monthly payment. Is there any way to transfer the payment to her or am I stuck paying for a dog that I'll never see again?

I will assume that the loan company does not a lien on the dog. So then you borrowed money and use thta money to buy the dog. In whose name are the dog's papers or licenses. If they are in your ex's name, it is her dog. If they are in your name, call the police. No matter what you have the pay the loan. It can not be transferred.
