Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

When I was in the hospital, the doctors told me that I did not have swine flu, strept throat, and meningitis so they kept me in ICU. Then they started doing all these expensive tests, like blood test, and scans on my heart, running up the cost of my visit. Later the doctor told me I have strept throat, which he previously said I didn't have, so all the lab tests weren't necessary. I was never treated for strept throat plus the nurses did not come when I called more than once. Because of this I left and when I left I did not receive discharge papers. The total came up to about $21,000 and on the summons report, it says that $12,000 had been paid. I'm not sure how and where the $12,000 came from. What kind of outcome am I looking at for my trial? Is there anything I can do to help my case?

Based on the facts presented, you will not have a good outcome. You should obtain copies of your medical records and an itemized statement to determine whether the charges are appropriate. You should be able to also determine where the $12000 came from.
