I am a co signer or co owner on my step daughters car and she let the ins. lasp and the tags too and also i have had to make 4 payments on this car ,finally I pleaded with her and she finally got ins and tags renewed, how do i get my name off this car

Getting your name off the car is easy--sign the title over to her. But you will still be responsible for the loan payments, so I would not suggest that this is a good idea. You could try asking the lender to remove your name from the loan, but it is very unlikely they will do so. Either the loan will need to be paid, or your daughter will need to refinance the loan in her name only.
