Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I work in a Third party medical Bill Collection Agency. Previously when a personal injury law suit

was being handled by an Attorney we would simply provide Attorney with Itemized statements & HICFA billing copies. Now we are asked in addition for a form called " Lien to Protect.

It is suppose to ensure at settlement out client gets paid. Could you explain what it is, how I can see a copy of such a document/form?

Impossible to tell from this description what the form is -- you need to ask the attorney to see a copy. What it MAY be is an ATTORNEY LIEN form so that if you collect funds they attorney may have a claim to them to defray attorney fees, court costs or other sums advanced by the attorney. But why aren't you asking your boss what to do?
