Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

getting cases squashed for military

first of all, i was charged with domestic battery january 2007. Is it possible to get it squashed for entrance into the military? I have everything done and am ready to go into the navy pending the results of court on april 18th. I have a public defender. He says its up to the states attorney but that he had someone just a couple days ago with the same situation and they wouldn't do it. I'm wondering if a lawyer would be more helpful than the public defender.

Re: getting cases squashed for military

Hello. I can understand your situation. In your case it will be

necessary, in my opinion, to file the

necessary motions to get the case thrown out. A private attorney would

be a good idea. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
