Re: criminal defense

Self defense is a very tricky defense best handled by an attorney.

Generally, when the victim is the initial aggressor, self defense can be successful.

However, as I said, it is a tricky defense and must be presented in the proper manner with legal representation.

If you are indigent, you can work with a public defender. If not, you should hire an attorney and may visit our website for information about our firm at www.shestokas.com

Re: criminal defense

First of all you need to hire an attorney. The attorney wilkl interview you, interview any witnesses to the event, and also obtain all of the information (or evidence) in hte possession of the authorities. Then, if you actually do have a defense based upon "self defense" the attorney will

advise you further. Good luck.

Re: criminal defense

As mentioned above, you should hire an attorney.

But in a nutshell, you will say that you were attacked first by the "victim" and that you were defending yourself against this attack.

Since you mention this is a criminal matter, you have the option of talking to a public defender. If you want to hire a private attorney, we would be happy to speak with you.
