Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

My next door neighbor, continuously, harrasses myself and my wife with foul language, and vague threats, " I'm gonna agravate you to death", staring at us when we take out the garbage or take in the mail, has his son call me names, (15 or 16 years old) follows my wife when she walks the dog, and when my wife goes to workout, at 3:30 am. he scares the tar out of her by either being on his front porch staring or by pressing the panic button on his car horn.My wife and I are both frightened, to leave our house.

He lost a law suit to us, that he instituted, two years ago,(the suit went on for five years, Illinois appelate court found the suit unfound and refused a second appeal) and in that two years our lives have been a living hell. I have been to the police, who say to get an order of protection, but that only applies to domestic violence!

What do I do? I'm a senior citizen and my wife is not far behind me, I afraid this is going to turn violent?

Have the son arrested for stalking. You may be able to get an order of protection against both for stalking.
