Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

illinois pending dui

I currently have 2 Illinois dui's pending. I was to appear in court in sept 97' but moved to Florida. How do I get this monkey off my back? Can I get these transfered to Florida? Is there a statute of limitations in Illinois where these arrests will be vacated? I have bond posted in Illinois, can I have the forfeiture order vacated?

Thanks for your help!!!

Re: illinois pending dui

To start the ball rolling you must determine if warrants have been issued for failure to appear. Surrendering on the warrants or reinstating the cases is a condition precedent to clearing your driving record and criminal record.

These matters must be heard in the issuing state.

There are no statute of limitations on warrants for failure to appear when the underlying charge was properly filed in a timely manner.
