Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
If i was married but legally separated..not residing in same household..no dealings with my husband but had a verbal agreement if he pays the gas bill & its his name only..he can be on my health insurance from work b/c he has heart problems..but he not only forfeited to pay the gas bill he later on after the agreement put my name on the bill without my acknowledgment nor my consent.now i have no gas for cooking & no way of getting it turned on.the gas company said do a police report.but i'm afraid he might go to jail.(not saying he will, just worst case scenario) i don't care about him anymore but i wouldn't feel right about someone going to jail.but i did not tell him it was ok to use my name on that gas bill!

If your name is on the gas bill for the gas that you use, then you should pay it - it's the right thing to do, morally. Once you're paid, the gas company will turn your gas back on and you will ave your gas.
Once you get that sorted out, you might want to consider getting the full divorce so you don't have to deal with problems like this in the future.
