Got a parpiphinilia charge on vacation

Hi,

I recently got a pariphinilia charge when i last drove to Chicago. Do they allow people to get cases transferred(transferred to my town) or am I required to show up in the countys courthouse that wrote me the ticket?

No, you can't transfer the case to your hometown. And, I believe that you must be referring to "paraphenalia". Hire a attorney in the county where the charge is pending. Do not just plead guilty.

You will have to appear in the court where the case is assigned. However, if you elect to just plead "guilty" it is possible (depending on which court and judge) to have your attorney have an affidavit signed by you stating that you wish to have your attorney plea on your behalf but you will most likely need to have a reason/excuse for your inability to appear personally in court.
