Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Not sure if I put this under the right heading, but here it is in a nut shell..

In june my brother and my self moved my sister with her 3 kids in the family home, one week later she lost her mind she called DCFS on her father it came back UNFOUNDED, placed an OP on her father, and told the family to stay away or she was calling the police. While at court for the OP on my 80+ year old father my brothers and my self were granted time to go to the family house (which still has or had plenty of our personal items) and do some winter maintenance. Ok here it is my car which had been parked in the garage for sometime had been emptied out of all my personal items (tools, hats, ect.) the interior has been vandalized along with the out side of the car damaged , the police were present but when they asked her if she did it of course she said "NO, he did it one night when he was drunk" So now that she took this to a personal level I would like to press charges but not sure where to go from here with out a police report. just got a call stating that one of my oldest nephews had helped push the car out of the garage and saw my sisters son(high school age) smash the car, What can I do, and where do I go from here?

You've asked this in a nutshell too, but it is the same answer, and this is too confusing. Sorry.
