Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Theft Accusation

I clean homes for various individuals. I was just nitified by police that I am to come to Station to discuss ''possible theft of items I had acess to'' I as told ''there was nothing to worry about they just needed to clear up a few things'' I am innocent. I do not know how I can prove That. Can they charge me just because I had acess to items. Can they make me take a polygraph. Dont they have to have some proof thaT I took the items.

Re: Theft Accusation

you cannot go to police to give statements; anything that you say will be used against you; if you want to "clear" the matter; take an attorney with you; if you have further5 questions email [email protected]
